Kummanam Sasikumar

About Me:
Kummanam Sasikumar, a renowned musician with over four decades of experience, hails from Kottayam, Kerala, India. He dedicated 34 years of his career to teaching music at the Kalady Sri Rama Krishna Adwaida Ashramam School. This esteemed institution is the birthplace of the influential philosopher Adi Shankaracharya.

Sasikumar's innovative spirit led him to create the Gayathri Thamburu, a unique musical instrument named after his daughter. For over two decades, this instrument has been awarded to the winners of Classical Music in the Kerala State School Kalolsavam, recognizing their exceptional talent. Several acclaimed musicians, including Vaikom Vijaya Lakshmi, have been inspired by the Gayathri Thamburu, leading to the creation of the Gayathri Veena.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Sasikumar finds joy in his family life Lelithakumari is an LIC Agent. He is living with his wife. His daughter Gayathri, is a dedicated nurse in Dubai, UAE, while his son, Krishnadevan, is pursuing an MBA.
